“Dump the Sick?” aims to:
1. Dispel some of the myths and misconceptions of universal single-payer health care through a look at some of the realities of the Canadian health system.
All Canadians are publicly insured for basic health care, without having to pay for it every time they get sick. This site will discuss the Canadian system: its history, its strengths, and its limitations and it will also feature the voices of Canadians’ and experience with universal medicare.
2. Place a critical eye on the politicians, the corporate health lobby, and those in the health care industry in general who are trying to limit the public awareness and appeal of single-payer health care.
In an effort protect their political and economic interests, many people and institutions are trying to instill fear by spreading lies and about universal single-payer health care and other health reform options.
3. Focus on the campaigners and organizations who are fighting so hard to bring single-payer health care to Americans.
